#treatyoself

Last week sucked. This month has sucked. But last week did especially. So when Saturday rolled around, I decided to make it officially #treatyoself day. So that’s exactly what I did.

Yes, yoga counts as a treat. At least, for me it does.

I decided last week that definitely missing from my life was some self-care. I don’t think I’m quite ready for Selfish Mom life (yet), but I can make an effort to take better care of myself as a person, and hopefully get rid of some of the “invisible” feelings.

I’m going to make it my Saturday thing. SoldierMan is going to be gone tomorrow, again, so I think Baby G and I will make another trip to Sally’s for another OPI Hawaii color, maybe swing by Sbux to try one of those Birthday Cake Frappes, and I’ve already declared that we’re having ice cream at some point.

I’m starting the #treatyoself weekend by writing this post while doing the dishes. Maybe after Baby G goes to bed tonight I can change my polish color, too. I’d do something like go get a pedicure, but that’s really only fun with friends. Also I have Easter pedi plans of my own.

How are you going to #treatyoself this weekend?

  1. I treated myself by taking Friday off. And then I'm going to take a bath and read in it tomorrow.

  2. I feel like I have very little time to treat myself. I should make more of an effort to do that. Thanks for the reminder!

  3. It's so important to do this! I did a little retail therapy today and it was nice. :)

  4. 'Self-care'? What is this?! ;-) My definition of that these days is laying down during the girls' naptime and watching some Netflix. Haha, that's sad, isn't it?

  5. This last weekend was my weekend. I love my monthly pedicures! I had no idea OPI had Hawaii colors. I'll have to check those out.
