March Who Madness Day 10: Saddest Episode

This was a REALLY hard one. So many to choose from.

For example:

You’ve been warned

"The Angels Take Manhattan”
I still bawl all through the last 5 minutes, every time I see it.
I started crying just looking through the pins for it on pinterest. No lie.

“Vincent and the Doctor”
Also, many tears at the end. I think it has to do with the whole issue of legacy.
”Does anything I do really matter?”
And while I do weep, it’s not so much sad as it is beautiful.

And then of course:

The total lack of closure. The way they were always “meant to be.”

But ultimately the winner was:

“The End of Time, Part 2”
Unlike the others, who at least were able to remember the Doctor,
Donna got nothing.
She experienced all these amazing wonderful things
Then was forced back to thinking she was worse than “normal”
to thinking she was not special,
to thinking she was nobody,
nothing important.
So tragic and unfair.

So that’s my choice for saddest episode, plus honorable mentions.

I feel like I need a good cry now.

  1. Donna's end was just tragic. It gets to me every time.
