2 Months and 24 Days

Today begins the period of the year when SoldierMan is officially 1 year older than me.

For the next 2 months and 24 days, we are different ages. It’s always been a kind of a joke between us, especially since we got married during that interim period. So I married an older man. Ha ha.

This is the first of his birthdays we haven’t spent together, which really isn’t all that bad in Army terms. He doesn’t like a fuss anyway, and we had his traditional birthday cookie cake before he left.

Happy Birthday, Babe. I know you probably won’t see this, but I love you and I miss you. Looking forward to more cookie cake when you get back. :) You’re my favorite.

  1. My husband and I are the opposite, there are 40 days out of the year {starting last Friday} where we are the same age. I'm older so it's the only 40 days a year that I'm not "old" according to him =}

  2. I could not have asked for a more perfect daughter-in-law for my son, your SoldierMan, dear JG. I willingly let him "leave and cleave" and watch you with great love and admiration from our Okla-home-a.

  3. Happy Birthday!!

    From April to September, we're only a year apart. Then my husband has his birthday and it's another 7 months that we're 2 years!

  8. Happy Birthday, SoldierMan! =) Spending birthdays and holidays apart is always so weird for me. I say always like it's happened a million times. It's only happened once. =P

    Joe's a year and a half older than me. From January to July, he's 2 years older. We got married in June, so I *really* married an older man. LOL! ;-) The bad thing is sometimes I forget he's older than me. I mean, I know his birthday and everything, but I'm forever forgetting he's closer to 30 than me. Although I'm sure I won't forget when he turns 30 and I'm 28! Ha!

  9. Ever since we had birthday cookie cake with you and SoldierMan (my first time with a cookie cake) how ever many years ago that was, I can't walk by a cookie cake at the mall without thinking of you and SoldierMan. Hope you're enjoying his birthday for him!
