For those of you who make regular Amazon purchases, this is probably old news to you. But maybe there are some people who can benefit from my experience.
The other day, I said that thanks to my Swagbucks activity, I’d finally gotten enough AGCs to buy my Amazon cart. It had some nail art tools and a pre-order for JK Rowling’s new book. I was super-freaking-duper excited when the last AGC finally processed and I could place the order. Monday, I think.
I go to place the order and the order qualified for Free Super Saver Shipping. Whoo-hoo. Place Order.
Estimated delivery for all items: October 7th.
So I get on with customer service and say, what now? Even my nail art tools? Because they’re in stock and ready to go.
Turns out, if you order from Amazon and qualify for free shipping, there’s no longer the “get my items faster” option. They won’t split up orders anymore. They will ship everything at the latest possible date.
So, I cancelled my order and placed a whole new order without the book. I’ll have enough gift cards again by then, and I’m not really salivating for it anyway.
But I’m not going to lie, I was pretty frustrated.
So, now you know. Only place in-stock orders with in-stock items. Or be willing to wait.
Which I am doing. My new nail tools are on their way, as well as the complete OPI Minnie Mouse collection (yee-haw!) because a girl can never have enough pink.
Meanwhile, I’m going to go have some lunch at Chick-fil-A.
