The surgeon just came out and said everything went well. They didn't even need to do a skin graft after all, the incision wound up being less drastic than they expected. There shouldn't be any residual nerve damage. It went even better than we expected.
They'll test all the things they took out (tissue and lymph nodes) for any traces of cancer, and let us know the results later, but they are still very encouraged. He needs to wake up and get around, and then we can take him home. Then the fun begins!
