12 in 12: May

1. MIND | Read at least one book a month, new or old, fiction or non-fiction.
Books:
”Echo’s Revenge” by Sean Austin
Currently reading: “Witness” by Whittaker Chambers

2. BODY | Work out 3x a week, minimum. Meal replacement shakes 1-2 times a day.
No and no. I had big plans and then I went home at the last minute this month for the surgeries and I haven’t been able to get into a routine. I never want to get out of the house until the sun is in full heat, or it’s in the evening, and when SoldierMan is home, that’s not very doable. Blah blah blah, I need to fix this.

3. SOUL | Stick to a Bible reading plan. Pick a verse for the year.
We’ve found a church (yay!) so cross that off the list. I’m being great and consistent with my daily Bible reading.
Verse for the year:
Joshua 1:9 "Haven't I told you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go."

4. PLATFORM | Write at least 2 articles a month for Breitbart. Amend to add: grow follower count on twitterand facebook.
Only one this month. Again, going out home and the cancer stuff threw me off my game.

5. BLOG | Post 3-5 times a week.
Host one giveaway a month.
I don’t think I did a giveaway in May. That’s okay, June will be very exciting, starting tomorrow!

6. LOVE | Follow "Power of a Praying Wife" every month for one year.
Plan more creative date nights.

7. TIME MANAGEMENT | Plot out to-do lists for the week every Monday. "Stop feeling guilty when people you don't know ask you to do something you can't do."
Getting back into the habit of list-making. It’s amazing the difference it makes.

8. STEWARDSHIP | Record spending and stick to the budget. Work the couponing like I'm being paid (because I am). Tithe consistently. Seek out charitable opportunities. Maximize my Swagbucks efforts (might conflict withTIME MANAGEMENT.)
We’re doing pretty good.

9. CREATION | Get current on scrapbooking by the end of the year. Learn how to use new sewing machine for more than pot holders. Make something I want to wear. Plan and actually execute Christmas baskets this year. Take one picture every day, preferably with my camera.
Lots and lots of sewing this month. I made my mom an iPad travel case, I made a couple of gift bags, and I made a little girl quilt for Project Linus, my very first quilt!

10. KINDNESS | "Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty."
I think so.

11. KEEP IN TOUCH | Regularly update email, photos, Facebook, & twitter.

12. WRITING | Edit NaNoWriMo2010 project. Complete NaNoWriMo2011 first draft/Continue research. Participate in NaNoWriMo2012
I’ve actually made some good headway in the research area this month, all things considered. There’s always more to go, but I’m feeling good.

How have you done with your goals for 2012 so far?

  1. I love your bible verse for the year, as a couple my hubby and I picked Jeremiah 29:11, and I love that you are following Power Of A Praying wife for the entire year! I may just have to do that starting now :)
