Calling All Bloggers

So....it's October. I don't know if y'all know this, but November is next month.

Do you realize what that means? That means that there are fewer than 30 days before the next NaNoWriMo. I just had a minor freak-out.

(yes, it says 2010. They don't release this year's till next month.)

In case you don't know, let me tell you about NaNoWriMo.

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, where participants challenge themselves from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30 to write 50,000 words of an original novel. That's 1667 words a day. 1667 original fiction words.

Last year was my first year to seriously participate. And, as you can see from the little badge on the left, I won. :)

There's no monetary prize, no publishing contract or anything like that at the end of the challenge. Just, you know, a novel. That you wrote.

I am participating again this year, which means two things:

1) I really have to finish editing the novel I wrote last year. I totally fell off the wagon in September with everything going on. So I'm playing some serious catch-up now. and

2) I am again going off the grid for the month of November. It was the key to my success last year and I know will be essential to winning again this year.

So, I am now accepting guest posts for the month of November. I can pretty much accept a guest post from every one of you so please feel free to jump on board and query a guest post for me. Movie reviews, TV talk, Fall decoration ideas, devotionals, current events, whatever. I'd love anything, so send away!

Plus, I know several of you are aspiring authors, so I highly encourage you to participate this year. Click on the link above for more info and to join the NaNoWriMo community.

  1. I'm pretty sure September knocked us all down for the count. I have no idea how I only blogged twice last month and one of those was a scheduled post I actually wrote in August! Glad we're playing catch up together =}

  2. I remember when you did this last year. Good luck!

  3. I can write a guest post if you'd like! I'll be doing NaNoWriMo for the third year in a row!

  4. Ahh! You just gave me something to help fill my time. I've been an aspiring writer since elementary school! I still have little stories I wrote back in third grade. Oh geez! Talk about cheesy! Anyway, thank you for posting about the contest. Not sure if I'll actually be able to accomplish it. (I take forever to brainstorm ideas, and I do better with non-fiction. I was one of those crazy people who loved writing reports in college.) I'd also love to guest post for you! How do we go about sending guest posts to you?

  5. First off, I'm so excited to see you succeed in such a glorious way, again. You are amazing!

Second, I would love to guest blog for you. I'll leave it up to you to tell me when you want me and what you want me to write, that way you can used me to fill in the blanks.

    Hugs from afar!

  6. That's so great that you're going for it again! Good luck!

  7. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing, I'm def doing this!

  8. Also, Id love to guest blog: ourmilitaryhome@gmail.com

I was nice and didn't turn on word verifications. Please reciprocate by having your reply-to email set and not posting anonymously.
