So....this week's C25K update.

You know I'm actually in a good place right now. I said last week I was "taking a break" and I didn't word that very well. I'm taking a small break from the training schedule to push through this plateau I've hit. I'm going to keep running my 3/5s until I can ace them and move forward to 2/8s. (Don't worry if you don't know what I'm talking about.) And I have been. I took the pressure off and just went back to my happy place - rather than dreading going - and I've been slowly progressing, which is all I wanted anyway. I haven't gone yet this week....headed out in about an hour or so. But I expect similar great things for this week.

So, to sum up, I'm pleased with where I am right now. And I know I'll get "there," to the end. So I'm good.

Also, I'm looking for some new running music. I like stuff along the lines of P!nk and Muse for exercise. Any recommendations?

  1. I know what you mean. We are doing week 4 again this week because some of us {me!} are still struggling with it. And I would rather do a week twice and really have it down than kill myself with week 5.

Gwen Stefani has some good "running" songs.

  2. Do you like Kings of Leon? I have one of their albums and the whole thing is on my running list.

    Way to go!

  3. I think it's awesome that you're doing C25k! It's so normal to hit a plateau in training. And I'm always up for good running music too. Let's see, I start every run with Black Eyed Peas "Let's Get It Started." Grenade by Bruno Mars, Little Lion Man by Mumford and Sons, Brick by Boring Brick by Paramore, Show Me What I'm Looking For by Carolina Liar, Raise Your Glass by P!nk, Bring Me to Life by Evanescence, How Far We've Come by Matchbox 20, Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. Sorry...I could go on forever! Good luck with the running! Keep it up!

  4. Ooooh I have plenty of songs I like to run to!!
"Born This Way" - Lady Gaga
"If We Ever Meet Again" - Timbaland
    "Raise Your Glass" - Pink
"How You Like Me Now" - The Heavy
"What the Hell" & "Girlfriend" - Avril Lavigne
    "The Catalyst" - Linkin Park
"Never Say Never" - Justin Bieber
    "What's My Age Again" - Blink 182
"Jump Jive and Wail" - Brian Setzer Orchestra
"F*** You" - Cee Lo Green
"Learn to Fly" - Foo Fighters
    "Chelsea Dagger" - The Fratellis
    "How Far We've Come" - Matchbox 20

Those are just a few :) Keep up the good work!!

  5. I did a post a while back with running songs that I love. I'm sure there are even ones that I've added since then, but this is a good list. I don't know if they're all your style, but I love them!

  6. I had to read (and copy!) the comments just to see the song suggestions!

I was nice and didn't turn on word verifications. Please reciprocate by having your reply-to email set and not posting anonymously.
