Big Sigh

So, I've had a serious case of writer's block. Not for the blog, of course. Meme days are awesome like that. :)

No, something about the book project was bugging me. Not quite like a monkey on my back, but more like a hummingbird. Barely there, but constantly tapping on my ear. It's taken me several weeks of editing and brainstorming to figure it out, but finally, today, I had a breakthrough. An epiphany. A word I feel is very aptly named, since I do believe that inspiration is at least partly divine.

Anyway, today has been a good day for writing. Which means it wasn't a good day for much else, though I did manage to get some laundry and dishes done. I'm out of practice for balancing it all out. Working on that.

Anyway, this puts my whole draft schedule back a bit, but I'm okay with that. It will be worth it. At least, I hope so.

Either way, it's a great relief to be able to fill the hole I saw.

  1. Don't you love that feeling? When something has been nagging at you and you just don't know what? One time, a man said hi to me at a career fair at my college...I knew that I knew him, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out who he was. One day, randomly, FOUR YEARS LATER, I realized it was the equestrian coach for another team in our region!! Hahahahha

  3. So glad you had a good day! I know just how focusing on one thing pushes everything else back a bit. Hope you have a good catch up day, too! :)

  4. What a feeling of relief...no one want a hummingbird tapping at their ear. It IS hard to find balance some days, isn't it?

  6. Balancing it all! I think that is always a struggle no matter where you are in life or what you are doing! Can't wait to find out what your book is about!

I was nice and didn't turn on word verifications. Please reciprocate by having your reply-to email set and not posting anonymously.
