Naptime
So, tonight is the puppies' first evening home alone. The Hail for SoldierMan's new Commander is tonight, and obviously SoldierMan has to go. And I want to go, too. This is his career, our life, I want to be seen as supporting that.
But....
Obviously, the puppies aren't housebroken yet. So that makes leaving the home alone for any length of time a little nervewracking.
And, I'm worried that Jeb is sick. He hasn't wanted to play hardly at all the last couple of days. Or eat. All he's wanted to do is cuddle or sleep.

Anyway, we're going out tonight but I'm pretty sure we'll both be anxious to get home to the boys again.
Meanwhile, I've become addicted to lotion. Thanks to having to clean up accidents or else just washing my hands (I love these little guys but they're still dogs, and dogs still gross me out) I've got hands like Howard Hughes.
I try to remember to put lotion on every time I wash now, and several times in between. I was using the B&BW lotion SoldierMan got me, which I love, but I think the fragrance formula in it was irritating my raw skin. It would get a little inflamed after I used it. But my Mary Kay Timewise lotion is perfect. It's not greasy and is basically unscented, so it doesn't irritate the more raw areas of my skin and has even helped my skin heal pretty quickly. It's been a lifesaver. I've got a bottle at each of the sinks now so I always remember to use it.
Anyway, that's my life right now. I'm getting a little work and a little writing done in between following the puppies around with paper towels and floor cleaner, so that's good. And TOTALLY enjoying Turner Classic Movies'
31 Days of Oscar. If you don't know what I'm talking about, be sure and click the link and check it out. It's one of my favorite times of the year!
Ugh, training a puppy is like having a baby in the house. It controls your whole life. Two words: Kennel Training!
ReplyDeleteMy hands are suffering this winter too. I've switched to Gold Bond lotion and it has helped mine tremendously. I have it by the sinks too :)
Have fun at the Hail and Farewell. I miss Army gatherings.. sometimes.
I look forward to TCM's 31 Days of Oscar every year, I love it!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed that they will be well behaved while y'all are gone!
ReplyDeleteLet us know how they do! :)
ReplyDeleteThe cuteness of your puppies is just overwhelming! Here's to hoping they don't get up to too much mischief on their own ;)
ReplyDeleteI love the Howard Hughes reference! I'm sure your night will be fun :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, the Howard Hughes comment had me laughing out loud. Hope the night went well!
