Ode to Georgia

Dear Georgia,

Now that we have left you, I look back on our time there with fond memories. Sure, you tried to kill me when we first got there, but we moved past that quickly. You've brought us some wonderful memories...

...making fast friends with fantastic people...

...our first Thanksgiving on our own...

...all your history...

...the weeks and weeks of "what-not-to-do" training for SoldierMan...

...ordering sushi or Chinese food during the weeks and weeks of field training...

...funny memories around the area...

...for all that and more, I say thank you. You were a training ground for both of us, our introduction into army life. We miss you already. As much as we are looking forward to beginning the next chapter in Texas, our memories of Georgia are treasured ones. One day, God-willing, we will meet again, hopefully in a more long-term situation. Until then, you will always be on my mind.
