30 Days Later.....

Greetings! As you can see, my Blogger hiatus is over. And OH, it feels good to be back! I have missed all of you and your blogs and your comments. :) And mucho thanks to those of you who have stopped by over the last few weeks and shared words of encouragement. Your support kept me going and made me want to push through to the end to come back to you!

In the last 30 days I have...
  • Bought a house
  • Said goodbye to a lot of friends
  • Cooked My first Thanksgiving entirely by myself
  • Listened to hundreds of hours of Christmas music
  • Gotten "family" pictures taken
  • Addressed and sent out Christmas cards
  • Sent my first-ever deployment care package - to Sister's Boyfriend in the Stan
  • Gone to SoldierMan's Airborne graduation
  • Planned our next vacation, almost canceled it, then booked it anyway
  • Stopped running
  • Started running again
  • Worked my way through the first 4 seasons of "Murder, She Wrote" on Netflix
  • Read "Decision Points" by George W. Bush and fell in love all over again
  • Gone from planning a military move to a DITY move with only two weeks to go
Each of these deserve a blog post of their own, and they will get one, I promise. In the meantime, I feel like the entire blogworld has passed me by! So, to end this blog, I'll end with a question:

What's the coolest/biggest/most significant memory
you have from the last 30 days?
And if you all say Thanksgiving, you're fired.

What? I didn't tell you if I met my goal and won this year's NaNoWriMo? Guess you'll have to come back Monday to find out ;)

  1. I can totally relate with the military move to DITY in the 2 week margin. And it was my first PCS anyways, so that was interested...but it worked out. And now I know!!!

  2. I'm so glad you're back, I've missed your posts!

I still think you're crazy for doing a DITY move this time of year, but more power to you!

I addressed our Christmas cards a week ago. I finally gave them to Kent to mail today on his way to work. I'm totally slow.

  3. You have been a LITTLE bit busy this month! I loved "Decision Points" too.

    The coolest/most significant thing that happened in the last 30 days (well about 38 days ago) was my precous, handsome, absolutely perfect nephew was born! {Can you tell I am a just a tiny bit excited?!}

    :)

You've had a busy 30days. That sounds all fun and exciting. I can't wait to read the posts for that list.

    Now to answer your question:
And can't say Thanksgiving..okay.. Well November 7th was my baby shower here. (I also had one in October where my mom flew me back home to Fl.) Now I know that was just over 30 days but My Mom in law came for the shower so she was here visiting. We did not do anything really special for her. But the memory is great. Got new recipes. Got new crochet patterns. As well as, the last 30 day. We got a tree, decorated and put up. This is a first for my hubby and I. I have good memories of hand making my Christmas cards. Yea so how is that answer.. do I get to stay hired l0l.

Hope you have a great weekend!
    Happy Holidays!

  5. Wow, I'm impressed!
And my biggest memory actually is Thanksgiving... mostly because we went to a friend's place and the first thing the host says to DM is "I just want you to know that I respect your right to believe in whatever you choose to think, but I fundamentally disagree with you and think you're wrong." Um... wow! It led to quite a night of debating.
Apart from that, though, the other standout was going to Wisconsin - easily the coldest place I have EVER been. I'm still trying to thaw out.

  7. Girl, when I saw your comment on my last post.. I was SO excited!! Yay for being back!! :D

    Okay so let's see..
My dog died :( That was really hard.. and has still been hard.

But on a lighter note.. probably the most interesting thing that has happened in the past month has been my encounter with this guy named Lee. It's half funny/half depressing. If you wanna read the two posts I wrote about him, be my guest haha.

  12. Well, cooking thanksgiving made me want to order Chinese for Christmas, so . . . .

Has to be walking into Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Lodge after a year of not being there. Sure, the parks are thrilling, but there's just something about that resort.
