TV Tuesday!

Another week, another TV Tuesday!

First of all, I have to say, I really liked this week's "Chuck." I'm sure y'all will probably want to slap me, but Nicole Ritchie, is not a bad actress. Although, maybe she wasn't really acting - she comes across as having that personality in real life. But hey, I thought she was good.

And kudos to "Chuck" for finally showing a man punching out a woman. Stay with me, here. One of the very few things I don't like about the show is that, like all modern movies and TV shows, they like to manipulate the laws of physics by showing these little stick-figure actresses knocking out body builders with a single side karate kick to the gut, or else taking a punch with over 50 lbs of force behind it, getting a little bloody nose and shaking it off.

Really, you can only watch Nicole Ritchie-types drop-kick Steve Austin so many times before the believability wears off. (Yes, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin also made a returning guest appearance this week. He's fun.) Just doesn't happen in the real world. Which is why I carry a gun.

And Big Mike is back! Yay!!! :) The old team's back together!

Next: I've started watching the new Hawaii 5-0. And it's pretty decent. I'll be surprised if it lasts longer than one season. But I love the scenery (duh, Hawaii!) and the main cast are all fantastic actors - like Daniel Dae Kim!! So happy to be seeing him again!! :)
It's not a thinker - you don't have to try too hard to follow along (at least, not yet) which is nice for me. Mostly I like problem-solving shows (like LOST, Chuck or House) but it's nice to just be able and enjoy a good action show with chase scenes, gunfights and explosions and not be that emotionally involved with the characters. That probably sounds bad, but you know what I mean. :)

And lastly, Amazing Race.
Poor Andie and Jenna. Like I said last week, I didn't expect them to be a powerhouse team, but they really got screwed by their cab driver. It was also really painful watching my two favorite teams duke it out for last place - primarily thanks to cab drivers. I was so sad when they lost. So I will definitely be checking out this week's Elimination Station on the Amazing Race website. Did you know you could do that? You get to follow the teams that get eliminated. They are all sent to a resort somewhere for the duration of the race, so they can bring them all back at the end for the finale.

What are you watching this week?

  1. I agree!! I hate unrealistic hot skinny chicks putting the smack-down on obviously stronger men. It's not feminism if it's not real!

  2. I was so sad about Amazing Race :( I really liked them. But at least they can spend more time together at a resort :)
