The One Where I Announce the Winner!

But first, some Friday randomness for you.....

This has been a miserable week. Not only with SoldierMan being gone and incommunicado, which has taken a harder toll on me than I expected, but also some Mother Nature issues. One on top of the other is no bueno. It means I've been eating like a horse. No, like a cow. And I've been off my feet most of the week because, well, it's uncomfortable either trying to do Downward Dog or jumping jacks in my condition. It's pretty awful. I'm planning next week, once things clear up, to kick it back into high gear and really get back into P90X. I miss it, crazy as it sounds. And it sounds craziest to me. But I do. So, expect more P90X related posts in the future.

But there has been some good, too. Last night I got to meet another IBOLC wife who had a sweet little 1.5 week old baby that she let me hold for almost an hour! :) I don't think the little fella liked me very much, but I just adored him! It's been a long time since I was around a newborn. Sort of helped make up for missing my cousins' babies. Plus, I get to go back on Monday! Yipee!

By the way, if the Army wanted to move payday up a week, I sure wouldn't mind! I mean, one early payday is great, but it makes the second half of the month much longer.....I guess I had been putting off replenishing so many things that they all hit at once. And stuff like toothpaste and a head of garlic aren't much on their own, but all together...yeah....sorry, that was a totally pointless paragraph. I just had to get that out somewhere. I'm living on canned soup for a while now :)

This afternoon, I'm having some ladies over to discuss starting a Bible Study for military wives. I'm very excited. I had a weekly ladies Bible Study group back home, it was the highlight of my week. There's something special about meeting with a group of like-minded ladies and sharing the path of growing with God. So, I'm looking forward to seeing how that turns out! So far only a few people have voiced interest, but that's fine.

Also, I wanted to point out - in case you haevn't noticed, I've added a small section on the left-hand column. Stephanie over at Dirt and Lace Designs made me up a beautiful blinkie, and underneath it I've listed several special people we've lost in OIF and OEF. Soon I'll do a post introducing them to you. But I wanted to go ahead and point it out.

Okay, okay, you didn't come here to read my ramblings. Not today, anyway! :)I have exciting news: thanks to your hard work referring, we not only met our goal of 30 entrants, we blew past it! That last 24 hour push made the difference! I wish I could give out 44 consolation prizes, you all made me that happy! Yes, we had 45 people enter! Isn't that awesome?!

But now for the big news: I used (because I wasn't about to write and cut out 185 entries! I do have to work, you know!)

Now, this part was tricky, because not everybody commented for as many times as they deserved. So, to be fair, I went back and counted myself to make sure it was fair. And the Grand Prize winner is:

Congratulations!! Everybody, show some bloggy love to ae! And ae, I don't think I have your mailing address, so if you can get it to me in an email or via facebook, I'll pass it along to Melanie so you can make connections!

  1. I agree, an early payday would be wonderful!!!

    The blinkie is great.

I hope the Bible Study works out for you!

  2. I hope you feel better soon... I wish I was as motivated to work out!

    Congrats AE!

  3. Congrats AE! I very much wanted to win this one, but I can suck it up and be a good sport I guess :)

The Bible study is a great idea and I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes. I'm still looking for one here so hopefully I'll have a good one to introduce you to when you get here!

I too, very much so need pay day to come a little early this month!! You're not the only one at least!

  4. YAY Ae :)

Payday is super long this period. Nice if it came earlier.

  5. YAY! I won! I cannot believe it. Thanks for the great giveaway. I will send you a message on FB with my address.

I think starting up a Bible study group is a great idea. Some friends of mine keep saying we need to start one we just cannot get our schedules lined up.

    Hope you feel better soon!!

  6. I wish I could join your bible study!

Sorry I didn't enter your giveaway but I'm 100% sure I am out of room in my suitcases for Japan and didn't think about giving it to someone as a gift until just this moment. I'm glad you made it to 30+!

  7. I totally agree on the payday thing. Getting paid 4 days early is nice but then its even longer until the next one. It makes it rough.

    Congrats to the winner!!

I was nice and didn't turn on word verifications. Please reciprocate by having your reply-to email set and not posting anonymously.
