Friday Randomness

Don't forget to enter the giveaway at the top! We're in the final hours!
So, I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but since moving back home, I've had issues sleeping. Not that I can't sleep, but my schedule has adjusted to Hawaii-time. (Remember, I live in OK. So, not good.) There's a long story behind it, but somehow after living first only with SoldierMan, then by myself, moving home to a houseful of people can be a little claustrophobic at times. Don't get me wrong, I'm really glad to be able to have this time with my family. I am. But when it's 0200, and I'm up working or watching TV or whatever, there's no one else up I'm not talking to, you know?

Anyway, so I've tried to work on that some this week, and so yesterday I set my alarm for an early (for me on Pacific time) wakeup, hoping it would mean I'd wear out by the evening. And it worked great, but I knew going to bed that early would mean a rough night without any "help", so I took some sleep meds and was lights out by 10:30. Whoo-hoo!

Except then the phone started ringing. So I was on the phone answering questions (from downstairs) until nearly midnight. Boo.

This this morning the phone started ringing at 7:45. Again, probably not a big deal to the rest of you, but to me, that was early. Very frustrating.

So my plans for a good start to a new schedule were, yet again, sabotaged. Oh well. Try again tonight.
Anyway, so now I'm cranky. I wanted to post some random pictures on here, but they are all on my laptop. Oh, did I mention? I've been using SoldierMan's computer for the last week. Stupid Toshiba piece of crap.

And trying to figure out how to make everything that needs to happen today, happen. Not that I have oh so much, or anything. It's just a matter of getting organized.
Within the next couple of days I should have a book review up. I'm excited!
Tonight will be fun, though. My friend's husband joined Nat'l Guard and leaves for BCT on Tuesday, so tonight is his going away dinner. Red Robin. Yum! Hopefully I will have pictures that I can share with you in the next few days.
What are your plans for the weekend?

  1. I hope you can get back to a normal sleep time! I hate having sleep issues. Not fun at all.

Not sure what we are going to do this weekend other than look hard for a place to live.

  2. hopefully, you can get your sleep schedule worked out soon!

my best friend's parents are visitng this weekend so we are going to have fun with them. we will probably wind up going to savannah!

  3. I'm confused...I think I missed something. Why are you on Hawaii time?

  4. E loves Red Robin! It was one of the few restaurants on his "I have to eat here" list over midtour leave.

    I made this cake:

Let's just say that next time I'll be measuring how much batter goes into that pan...

    Have a good weekend!

  5. Enjoy your night out...and have a great weekend!

  6. Hopefully you can get adjusted with the time and get some rest! Have a great weekend!
