Wunderbar

One of my favorites, Kathryn Grayson, has passed.

Very sad to me. I loved her growing up. My favorite was "Kiss Me Kate," a musical version of "The Taming of the Shrew." She was perfect in it.

However, since there is no copy of that on youtube, and I have no idea how to rip a clip off my DVD (do you??? ) I'll give you this. Watch till the end when she breezes through some amazing cadenzas.

  1. I love that you love old movies! She was just gorgeous-- I wish being elegant like that was more popular nowadays... rather than looking like a hot mess like some celebs look like today. :)

  6. Anchors Aweigh is one of my all time favorites! The Mexican pavilion at Epcot reminds me of the scene where Gene Kelly is dancing through the market with the little girl. And going down the walk to see Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios makes me think of the huge amphitheater for some reason. Ok... Anyway. LOVE Kathryn Grayson. So beautiful and elegant, and her voice - stunning!
