Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3

Hey everyone. I really hope the kinks are starting to be worked out of this thing. Hopefully you've gotten here one way or another. If you came here from a direct link because it wasn't showing up on your "follow" feed, go back to the dashboard and remove the blog from your follow feed. (The link has changed, the title hasn't). Then come back here and follow again. Oy. This may take weeks to recover from.

Today is sort of a "blah" Saturday. I'm trying to come up with something more exciting to do than laundry. I do have an idea, but I don't know....

Last night (and part of this morning) I watched the movie Whip It.

I rented it yesterday because my hairdresser (that's such an old lady term. But it feels derogatory to say "hair lady." What is the correct term?) plays roller derby and she's always inviting me to come out to the bouts. I guess they're most Saturday nights. Anyway, I saw this and saw it had Ellen Page in it (who I love) so I rented it.

It was pretty good. I like the story. It's pretty crude, lots of language and stuff. But it does make me thing about going to the bouts tonight. I saw someone else I knew was going...although they didn't exactly invite me. Seriously, I need a buddy who lives close. Everyone is either so busy you have to schedule things weeks in advance, or else they have kids and live too far away to say, "Hey, want to go to the stockyards tonight?" And I'm not really good about going places alone. Just haven't gotten to that place yet.

SoldierMan is having another fun-filled shopping weekend. That's another thing - NY&C has their spring dresses in, and I would love to go shopping...but my "fun money" is pretty committed already. Boo.

Oh! I finished our 2007/2008 scrapbook last night. Yay! I put both years in the same book because I hardly took any pictures. Pretty sad, I know. So next month, my fun money is for scrapbooking supplies, pretty much. But I'm looking forward to it.

In other news, I bought some new shampoo and conditioner the other day. I've been using Pantene or Suave since we got married. Which is fine, but this week I was running out, and when I went to the store I saw an old friend...salon-brand hair products. So, I treated myself to some Bed Head. I got the volumizing shampoo and conditioner, since that's the line of Pantene I was using, and my limp, thin hair needs all the help it can get.

Oh. My. Gosh. First of all, it smells AMAZING!! Like strawberries and cherries mixed together, but not strong or sugary like Herbal Essences does. Then, I blow-dried my hair (without adding any product) just to test. The volume was unbelievable! Without extra product! Seriously, one tube that's 75% of the size of my Pantene costs 3 times as much. And already I don't regret it one single bit.

Which is why I can't go dress shopping :)

What are your big plans for the weekend?

Don't forget to enter the giveaway at the top of the page!!
