An Award!

Mrs. G.I. Joe has given me this loverly award!

And whaddya know? She created it herself! I love new awards!

This is called The Bogart.
It means you're really going places, Baby.
You'll still be blogging about your great adventures 10 years from now,
and I'll still be reading them.

The Rules:
Link back to the blogger who sent you the award.
Post where you would like to be in 10 years.
Pass this on to 10 other special bloggers.

Where I'd like to be in 10 years:
I can't even let myself think of "where" geographically - I'm trying to give up on that for a while! But I do hope we are happy, have completed at least one pregnancy and one adoption, have been to London and China, and I hope to have...let's say 2 books published by then. (That seems reasonable at the rate I'm going!)

Now, for my tags:
When I tag people for awards, I like to tag people who are good/new commeters.
I think you should be rewarded for being a good commenter (since I'm such a bad one).
And I also like to try and tag someone I didn't for the last award, just to keep it fresh!

And so, here are my ten:
1. kace (brand new BB) @ calling him krew
2. Mrs. P @ A Little Pink in a World of Camo
3. ae @ drifts into randomness
4. elise @ elise is...content
5. Katie @ The Mathis'
6. Ashley @ Army Wife Ashley
7. KJ @ Nothing Short of Fabulous
8. Jessica @ Learning As We Go
9. Allison @ The Displaced Texan
10. Ashley @ Daddy's Duty

And, because I like surprises, I'm not going to tell any of you that you got it!
*insert Elphaba cackle here*

So, to all of you just checking in and seeing this -

This is a scheduled post, because right now I am in Lawton watching SoldierMan graduate BCT.

I'll be back with pictures and synopsis later.

In the meantime, my 200th post is coming up, and since I'm not where I can do a giveaway right now, I think I'll follow the popular meme going around and take questions for a Q&A blog. So, ask away, and for my 200th post, you'll get your answers!!

And in other Friday Randomness - has anyone ever gone about changing their blog's URL? I'm wanting to change ours - for privacy's sake - but I don't want to lose all you wonderful people as readers. Will that happen, or will your "follower" status transfer with the URL change? Anyone know? Anyone? Bueller?

  1. woohoo! thanks for the award :)

  2. how sweet!! i'll get right on it!!
and if you change your URL it will not carry over on people's "blogs you follow feed". i changed mine early on and it caused some issues... my only thought other than posting what you will change it to ahead of time(which will defeat the purpose i'm guessing) would be emailing your followers the new addy... idk!

  3. Thanks bunches for the award!!

    Congrats to SoldierMan!

I know this gets asked a lot but I am always curious. If you had unlimited funds where would you travel and why?

  4. Have a great time at graduation!

  5. ooooo - Congrats on the award and thank you so much for passing it along! Super sweet of you :)

  6. AAAWWW, thanks!!

What are you most anxious about your new role as a military spouse?

  7. Hope you have a great time in Lawton with Soldier Man. I have relatives that live/lived in Lawton. :)

  8. Enjoy your time with him! :)

And, I know Hilary changed her URL, and just sent everyone an email... lots of people to email, but may be the best way.

  9. Thank you love!
I have no idea how to change a URL, but I know it can be done, a friend of mine did it and I still follow her. I'm still learning all the tricks of the blogger trade.

Congrats to hubby on graduating basic and getting soldier status!! (Or maybe he already had it, in the Corps they aren't "Marines" til they grad, so that's why I'm saying that, if not my bad! haha)

    For Q&A...
if you could spend one day as someone else, who would it be and why?
Oh, and how did you get the three columns on your blog??? hahaha.

  10. Yay my first ever blog award! Hope you are having fun at the graduation, I remember feeling so proud of my soldier and like we were "officially army."

    My questions:
    1. What did you want to be when you "grow up"?
    2. I love your movie reviews and was wondering who your favorite actor/actress is?

  11. I don't know how I missed this post the first time around! Thank you so much for the award - that WAS a nice little surprise :)

    Here's my questions:
    1. If you could pick one moment that really stood out to you during graduation/family day, what would it be?
    2. What have you been doing, or what do you plan to do to keep you busy while David is away?
    3. Do you plan on visiting him any while he's at OCS or are you waiting for graduation? (I lived pretty close so it was an easy drive for me. I'm sure flying makes it harder/more expensive so I was just curious)
    4. last one... promise. Which posts are you hoping you'll get stationed at during your time in the Army? Are there any places you don't want to be stationed at?

  12. Hey, my question is, when do y'all plan on starting a family?

I was nice and didn't turn on word verifications. Please reciprocate by having your reply-to email set and not posting anonymously.
