Inhale. Exhale. Repeat.

This has become my mantra. That and, "Just keep putting one foot in front of the other."

One week left. In almost exactly one week from right now, I will be bringing SoldierMan home. :) I am so excited...

...but there is still so much to do beforehand! I'm having the first big move this weekend. I got the storage facility today. It looks good and safe, so that's good. I bought more boxes. I reserved the U-Haul. I've already gotten a few volunteers to help. So lots already checked off.

I know the best gift I can give him when he comes home is a nearly-empty house. So I'm doing my best to make that happen. And a few people understand that.

There are some, like the storage unit guy, who said, "What? You mean he left and you're doing all the moving without him?" Yes, thank you for pointing that out. Normally it's not such a big deal. Most MilWives I know can do a PCS by themselves. But of course, most of them use movers. I'm really trying not to think about that right now.

So today, my priority is finishing my work (yes, I do have a job, you snot-nosed feminazi on facebook with your turned-up butt calling me "unemployed" because I'm married and work out of my home) and then start the final preparations for the major move this weekend.

Tomorrow should be much more fun. I have a hair appointment in the morning, after which I'll get some drive-through lunch, get my nails and feet done (finally!) and then head to a Christmas party that evening...

...which means anything I need to get done needs to be mostly completed today.

Whoo-hoo.

On a side note, as much as I love having short, fun hair, every time I watch The Nanny I miss having my long hair. Not that I ever had the natural body to get that kind of height, but it was always fun trying!

The bigger the hair, the smaller the hips! ;)

  1. Yay, that seemed to go by fast - maybe not for you, though! One week will hopefully go quick for you!

I know how you feel about the moving thing! My husband was deployed two weeks after we got married and I had to move all of my stuff on my own. But we were also moving to a bigger apartment than the one he had, so right after I got my stuff moved in, I had to move everything on my own to our new place. (With a couple people helping) I was proud of myself and I knew Jon would appreciate it so much, coming home to our new home all moved in and not having to lift a finger. We have moved three times in the last year and a half and have always done DITY moves. We move to Cali in March and we are letting the movers do it. Should be interesting because I can already tell I'm going to want to be in control of EVERYTHING!

    Good luck with everything!

Yay for SoldierMan coming home! I can't imagine how much you have on your to do list between now and then.
Maybe I missed it, but do you know where you are going to? This Army Preemie has NO idea how all of this works and is silently terrified. Shh. Don't tell. ;)
