So today is day 1 of not having a car. You wouldn't think it would be so bad since most Saturdays I like to just stay home anyway. But we are out of milk, I need to go to the bank to deposit some money and I have some grossly overdue movies I need to return to Blockbuster.

And here I am. On my second load of dishes and my second load of laundry. So I am being productive, just homebound. SoldierMan had an appointment up at work, so he needed the car. Oh well. In other news, last night went well. The family came over and we had dinner and watched a movie and it was nice. I will probably be featuring that movie in an upcoming Theater Thursday.

Today will be interesting. When SoldierMan gets home we will do today's P90X. Thursday we had to do 2 sessions since we didn't get to Wednesday. I didn't think it would be so bad since it meant Arms in the morning and Yoga at night. I've never done Yoga, but I have done Pilates, so I thought I knew what I was getting into.

I was wrong.

I freaking HATE Downward Dog!! I don't like being upside down, it's one of my phobias. Plus by the end I thought my wrists were going to snap from having to support my weight so much. The first half of the session was all the strength/motion poses, and we were both about to fall over by the end of that portion. But once we got to the balance poses I did okay. I cannot believe how much I sweat.

I've done research into Yoga in the past, and yes, I was trepidatious. I understand the religious significance yoga has to Buddhists. To say Buddhism uses yoga for health and wellness is like saying Christians use Communion for nourishment. But from understanding the significance, I was able to alter some of the practices. We didn't do the Namaste, didn't do the Ohms, basically just made it the bare bones moves and that's it. And I'm comfortable with it.

Today should be interesting. Bradford is back in, so we'll see how that goes. I figure, after all the injuries we've had this season, plus all the new players, plus having Kevin Wilson shoot us in the foot every game by calling failed running play after failed running play - I'm not too stressed about it. At this point, I would consider a it successful season if nobody else gets hurt. And if we beat OSU. But I don't know how good our chances are right now. You have no idea the knot in my stomach I have from saying that.

  1. I thought I was the only girl who is a crazy football fan!! I miss the days that AR played Oklahoma. Well, maybe not! HA!!

  2. I have never been interested in trying yoga and after that post I think I will stick with "no thank you!" haha

I hope your car-less day was relaxing for you. Blockbuster can just deal for a little bit longer!
