Our second night there, we went to the dinner show, Hoop-Dee-Doo, with a group of friends on those friends' recommendation. We had a group of about a dozen people so it was fun hanging out with all of them. We also all showed up in our Oklahoma gear, which was fun. We're proud :)

After Hoop-Dee-Do we went to the Port Orleans resort to see their piano bar performer, Piano Bob, again at the recommendation of our friends. By this point, the party had shrunk to just the 6 of us (plus kiddo). Piano Bob is really good. I think the guy can play just about anything, and he did - oldies, newies, showtunes, folksongs, whatever. It was also fun, but again, probably not a repeat for us.

The next day we went to Animal Kingdom and did the stuff there. One of the best attractions they have is the Safari. For those who don't know, AK is a park/preserve, complete with a Safari "ride" in an open-air bus through the gate-less preserve area filled with African animals. It is a MUST for the photog!!
However, it's totally luck as to what kinds of shots you will get. If you go during the heat of the day, for example, most of the animals will be back in the trees and caves hiding from the sun. We did get lucky, though, because it was overcast and drizzly on the day we went - perfectly cool for the animals! I got some really good shots, if I do say so myself.

More posts to come....
Also, yesterday was the "day of rest" for P90X, so I don't have another report yet, other than to say that I'm still sore as all-get-out. But, tonight begins the new week. I don't know if I'm glad or sad. I'm going to give it until we leave (the 23rd) and if I am seeing results by then, I'll stick with it. As intense as this program is, I don't think 3 weeks is an unreasonable test period. In the meantime, thanks for the words of encouragement before. This will definitely be a journey!
Lastly, the big news is that the book I have been waiting for came in today. While we were at Disney, I saw a book called, "The Quotable Walt Disney." You know me, I *love* quotes!! So I just had to get it. Rather than buying it in store and paying retail, however, I got it online for like $2. I know, I know, I could have bought it "at Disney," but why? It's not like he's there to autograph it. :p I know, I'm horrible. But really, if I could meet any person in history - well, any 5 people in history - Walt Disney would be one of them. The man was inspiration incarnate.
So, I will leave you with my Disney Quote of the Day (soon to be a regular feature, I'm sure):
