Crunch Time

So now things are getting busy. We have just under a week to get all of SoldierMan's stuff packed before we leave. Also to put together his going away shindig. And get ready to go out of town. And something has come up for nearly every evening this week. So yeah, it'll be busy. But hopefully in a good distracting way.

We also got some bad news yesterday. Our pastor's dad has been fighting lung cancer for a few weeks now, and when they found it they said it was terminal. It's been a wild ride for them, he gets better, then worse. Then a couple of weeks ago, the hospital told him that he was well enough to live at home and just come in for treatment. It was a huge upswing. Then yesterday, they tell us that he had to go back to the hospital, the chemo wasn't working and his dad has decided to stop fighting. He's got about a week left. I don't know the man, but I know and love my pastor, and he is very, very close to his dad, and he is obviously hurting. Plus, I just think about one day losing my own dad, and I get the wind knocked out of me. Anyway, if you could pray for him and his family, I know they could use it.

UPDATE: Just found out my grandmother's sister died. The last member of her family. My grandmother is already a widow. She's 96. She's slowing down. This is hitting her hard. Please pray. I want more time with her.
