The Proverbial Cat is Out of the Equally Proverbial Bag

The Secret is finally out.

For those family and friends who are not yet aware, and those others of you who wander by, the super-classified status on the information I was not allowed to share has been lifted. I am now at liberty to officially inform you:

I am an Army wife.

SoldierMan joined July 30th, but he doesn't leave for basic until November 3rd. Because of this, he was wanting to put off making the "official" announcement to the world, for various reasons.

But now it's out, and God's timing is perfect.

Later I may talk more about the process that led him (us) to this decision. But until then, we'll just leave it here.

The posed oath-taking

The family: my parents, him, me, his mom

I don't know why my face is weird in this one, but don't read into that.
We're very happy.

  1. Congrats and enjoy the adventure! and trust me... it is an adventure : )

The only thing better would have been if he had joined the Corps but I wont hold you being an army wife against you.

  2. I'd have to disagree with you both, being a Navy wife is way cooler! Congrats on your new journey! Is he going Active or reserves? Can't wait to hear all about it!

  3. Congratulations! I hope this decisions brings you both much happiness (there'll be challenges too but you can do it!)

  4. Congrats! The military life is always an interesting adventure!

I have never tried oreo balls ... do tell!

  5. Welcome to the life!!! You'll meet tons of amazing women along the journey!

  6. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
