So, after several failed self-portrait attempts, this is what I came up with.

First of all, yes, that picture is a self-portrait taken by me. It is from New Year's, right after we got engaged...so, what, 3 years ago now? Wow.
That's not the object of nostalgia. The charm bracelet draped over it is.
Here's the story: I asked SoldierMan for my 20th birthday to get me a charm bracelet, to start collecting charms throughout our relationship. At first I think he thought it was kind of a lame idea, but now we both get excited about picking out charms for milestones and memorable events in our lives, and this bracelet is very special to me.
Top to bottom:
- Blue Mickey Charm - from our honeymoon to Disney World. The blue stone is the September birthstone, since we went in September.
- Music note charm - for my birthday one year
- Chocolate box charm and spangly heart charm - he gave those to me when he gave me the bracelet. The first charms I got.
- Big Ben charm and Union Jack charm - he brought those back to me from England, where he went without me. (I'm still owed a trip! But I love the charms)
- Patriotic Mickey - from our 1 year anniversary trip to Disney last year.

ReplyDeleteActually, I didn't get engaged on New Years, it was a couple of weeks before. :) That was just the New Years we were engaged. Sorry for the confusion.
